More than CSR: Proof that Corporates and Socents Can (and should) work together

Megan Christenson, Points of Light Civic Accelerator

Increasingly, Fortune 500 companies are peering into the halls of impact accelerators and investment funds to connect more than just their CSR departments to social enterprise sector. Mounting data on consumer trends, talent retention, and environmental risk necessitates collaboration with emerging social enterprises. Yet, disparities in nimbleness, culture, and risk tolerance can make such partnerships more difficult and unappealing than not to a social entrepreneur. This workshop will explore the opportunities and challenges faced by both multinational corporations and early stage startups in working together as thought partners, vendors, new market channels, and everything else in between. Workshop attendees will leave with a set of tools and a framework for approaching large corporations with their innovation.
