Fair Trade: Funding Gaps and Opportunities in the Supply Chain, Part II

Kate Danaher, RSF Social Finance

A postlude to the SOCAP15 panel, ‘Fair Trade: Funding Gaps and Opportunities in the Supply Chain.’ This panel follows up on the conversation RSF Social Finance hosted last year to explore the challenges and opportunities for building sustainable supply chains and how to capitalize them. The panel focused on the need for reasonably priced, medium term loans, and the role that trust and established relationships could play in mitigating risk. Since that conversation, RSF has piloted three projects to finance the supply chains of their existing borrowers--all driven by the concept of ‘trust underwriting.’ Join us to learn about the projects, their structures, key learnings and next steps.
