Seeding and Cultivating the Regenerative Economy

Stu Fram, RSF Social Finance

Our present economic system prioritizes growth and short-term outcomes, putting humans and ecosystems on a collision course with the finite, physical limitations of the biosphere. There is, however, a new economic movement afoot – one that works to value and regenerate capital assets. The regenerative paradigm draws from other emerging trends such as natural capitalism, circular economics, and sharing economies. This panel will explore how regenerative economic principles are being applied to restore soil, society, and the soul in the name of creating ecological, social, and economic prosperity. Additionally, panelists will discuss how a new class of innovators and entrepreneurs are building companies that directly support a regenerative economy and how capital funding sources are supporting this new ecosystem of social enterprises.
